Jill Robson

Designs by Appointment was established in 2001. Creative Director and Owner Jill Robson, has an extensive background in the visual arts and considers custom sewing for the home another facet of this field. Born in England, Jill transferred to Franklin, TN with her family in 1998. Sewing has always been a part of her life, from dressing Barbie dolls, to dressing daughters, making wedding dresses and prom dresses. Jill now prefers to use her hand sewing skills, and keen eye for details to create exquisite products for the interior design industry. Education plays a significant role in her business (Jill also holds a teaching degree). She regularly attends business focused meetings, industry specific seminars and is a member of several trade associations, including: WCAA, D&D Professional Forum, WFCP, and Drapery Pro. Jill feels strongly that education should be ongoing in order to stay aware of design trends, fabrication methods, new products and current industry developments.
